Enabling Change, Empowering Care: Driving Digital Transformation That Delivers

Digital Transformation

Digital transformation and effective change management are essential to enabling the government’s three critical shifts: transitioning from analogue to digital, shifting care from hospitals to communities, and moving from treating illness to preventing it.

At Akeso, we specialise in guiding health and care organisations through their digital transformation journey. By combining expertise in strategy, implementation, evaluation, and procurement, we enable sustainable improvements in patient care, operational efficiency, and digital maturity. Below is an overview of our key offerings and focus areas. Our approach ensures that transformation is not only effective but also centred on the needs of the people it serves—patients, staff, and communities.

Key Offerings

Akeso have five key offerings for Digital Transformation from implementation and change management, to evaluation, strategy design, commercial and procurement support and digital maturity assessment.

Implementation and Change Management

We provide tailored support for implementing digital solutions across health and care providers and systems, driving transformation through our change management strategies. Our approach equally prioritises technology, people, and an enabling environment, ensuring digital projects are embraced, effectively implemented, and deliver long term value to the organisation, staff and patients.

Evaluation and Review

We provide comprehensive evaluations of digital tools, systems, and processes to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure alignment with organisational goals. Using mixed methodologies, we deliver rapid insights, actionable recommendations, and measurable benefits. Our agile approach promotes a culture of continuous improvement and equips organisations with the tools needed to navigate the complexities of evolving digital health technologies.

Strategy Design

We partner with health and care organisations to develop forward-looking strategies that address the challenges of digital transformation. By analysing service needs, evaluating existing systems, and crafting bespoke solutions, we help organisations achieve their goals. Our strategies are designed to deliver tangible results, align with organisational priorities, and foster innovation.

Commercial and Procurement Advisory

With extensive experience in commercial strategy and procurement, we guide organisations in supplier engagement, national rollouts, and business case development. Our approach ensures value for money, compliance, and alignment with digital health objectives. By leveraging our expertise, organisations can achieve transformative outcomes and build strong foundations for future success.

Digital Maturity Assessment

We assess an organisation’s current digital capabilities to identify strengths, gaps, and opportunities for improvement. By benchmarking against industry standards and best practices, we provide actionable insights and a clear roadmap to achieve higher levels of digital maturity. Our process supports organisations in aligning their digital strategies with their long-term goals, enhancing readiness for future innovations, and driving sustainable transformation.

Client Testimonial

“Unlike traditional Population Health Management in the UK, which uses risk stratification to focus solely on those already using healthcare services, this novel approach proactively identifies all communities, including those not currently engaging with services, to address inequalities and prevent future health demands across Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland, pinpointing where Virtual Wards can provide the greatest benefit for our population”
