Graduate Data Scientist

About this Opportunity

As a boutique consultancy, you’ll work closely with senior colleagues and clients earlier in your career than in larger firms, gaining exposure, responsibility, and development at pace.

We’re looking for graduates who are passionate about building a long-term career in healthcare consultancy and want to make a meaningful impact from day one. This is an opportunity to join a firm dedicated to shaping and improving the future of healthcare.

Our graduate scheme is designed to empower early-career professionals who are curious, driven, and committed to transforming health and care systems. You’ll gain hands-on experience while working alongside colleagues who bring deep sector expertise and a collaborative approach to solving complex challenges.

The day-to-day role of a Graduate Data Scientist will largely involve:

  • Collaborating within multidisciplinary project teams, typically 2-5 people, to support delivery across the full project lifecycle – from opportunity assessment and solution design through to implementation
  • Conducting robust data analysis, drawing on a range of tools and programming languages (including Python, R, SQL, Excel, Power BI, Alteryx, and others) to develop high-quality analytical tools, models, and dashboards
  • Develop data-driven solutions and models, such as supervised and unsupervised machine learning algorithms, demand and capacity optimisation models, financial forecasts and solutions using large language models, ensuring analytical methods are clearly structured and evidence based
  • Working with clients from early on, contributing to analysis and delivery, and building strong relationships through meetings, collaborative working, and clear communication of technical outputs
  • Managing elements of project delivery, including version control and code quality, with oversight from senior team members and a focus on continuous learning and technical development
  • Contributing to the production of key deliverables, such as PowerPoint presentations and reports, ensuring that outputs are tailored to client needs and clearly communicate and visualise analytical findings and their implications in an understandable way
  • Supporting internal business development initiatives, such as proposal writing, contributing to tender submissions, and researching innovations in data science and healthcare analytics
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis of large data sets, with support from specialist data colleagues where appropriate, to draw meaningful conclusions
  • Proactively seeking opportunities to grow your knowledge and capability in data science and healthcare, including further accreditation or formal training, with the support of your team

Over the course of the year, you’ll develop your core consultative data science competencies through a combination of structured training, real project work, and contribution to internal initiatives. You’ll be supported throughout by experienced colleagues who are committed to your development and growth.

More detail on the graduate scheme can be found on our website.
