About the role
We’re hiring a Leeds-based Consultant to join Akeso, working on projects that drive meaningful change across healthcare and life sciences.
At Akeso, we partner with healthcare providers and suppliers to solve complex challenges across strategy, transformation, operational efficiency, and financial performance, with a clear focus on improving patient outcomes and system sustainability.
As a Consultant, you will play a key role in delivery. You will take ownership of defined workstreams, work closely with clients and senior stakeholders, and help turn analysis into practical, actionable change. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
What you’ll be doing
- Owning and delivering workstreams across strategy, transformation, operational efficiency, and performance improvement initiatives
- Producing clear, high quality, client ready outputs and analysis
- Supporting the development of insights, recommendations, and implementation plans
- Working directly with clients and building strong stakeholder relationships
- Collaborating with and supporting junior team members where appropriate
- Contributing to internal initiatives and the continued growth of the firm
We’re looking for someone who
- Is motivated by delivering meaningful change in healthcare
- Has around 1 to 3 years experience in consulting or a similar project based environment
- Is comfortable taking ownership and contributing to delivery
- Has experience contributing to operational improvement initiatives such as service redesign, supply chain, or procurement
- Has strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Communicates clearly and confidently with stakeholders
- Has experience preparing structured analysis, reports, and presentations
- Works well in a collaborative, fast paced environment
- Has familiarity with the UK healthcare system, NHS structures, or a regulated environment, which is beneficial but not essential
- Is based in, or able to work from, Leeds

Location:
Leeds (hybrid – typically 2 days per week in the office or on client site)
